Family says travel agents failed to inform them they need a Japanese visa for connecting flight in Nagoya and Tokyo, resulting in airlines blocking their flight. Winnipeg family forced to re-book tickets after airline blocked their flights, Philippine Embassy has some reminders

April 5, 2023 Winnipeg family spends $3,000, after the airlines blocked their flight when they were unable to present their kids’ Philippine visa to enter Manila citing rule of staying beyond 30 days of Canadian nationals. The Philippine Embassy says immediate family members of Filipino citizens can travel to the Philippines without a visa for up to year as long as they have proof of filiation.
